My thesis: Ubicomp Ontwerpers [Dutch] -  Computers are getting smaller, cheaper and wireless. But does that mean that Mark Weiser's vision of a seamless world in which the computer is our humble butler is going to become a reality? In my thesis I argue against the overblown idealism surrounding the Ubicomp vision.

RFID as progress and improvement [English] - What ideals surround RFID technology? This articles explores Klaas Kuitenbrouwer's statement that RFID could allow for a re-appreciation of public space.

De roeping van de ruimte [Dutch] - In this  paper I explore the idea that new media and new media art have transformed public space and allow a re-evaluation of this space and the social connections we make in it.

Reflexive cybernetics [Dutch] - This untitled paper explores whether the cybernetic theory of Gordon Pask can be understood as a post-modern theory. It touches on the problematic position of the scientific search for truth in a post-modern time.

Immersion in computervision games [Dutch] - Why are eye-toy games, that engage your whole body, not as popular as traditional games? This paper explains this phenomena by having a closer look at the different stages of the immersion proces.

De interface, de stad en de kunstenaar [Dutch] -  A joint project by Levien Nordeman and myself, in which we explore a "liminal city interface". This is an almost semiotic model of our constructed experience of being in the city, and the position of art in this proces. Cover by Levien Nordeman.
