Designing the different forms of communication for a guerilla festival like NetNiet was an difficult task. Being in the festival organisation myself I had little time. There were also various technical restrictions, such as only being able to print in black and white.
This was quite a contrast with the NetNiet.org festival website, which burst with colour.
For a retrospective of the festival have a look at the NetNiet projectpage.
above-right: The front of the flyer as well as the image on the posters, although the posters were in black and white. The flyer was A6 size, the posters were A2.
right: the back of the flyer. It was a struggle to create a text that explained what you could do and make people want to go. There were numerous versions of the back, in which the colours were more toned down, but in the end I decided these colours got people's attention more.
The logo was simplified into duotone. The "macaroni" half-circle shape
at once refers to the original logo, but it's also a reference to warchalking.
The yellow cross in the first logo was a reference to the "not" in the logo as well as to an outreaching node of a network. If you add a third yellow line it becomes a star-shape.

right: The bluetooth photobanks graphic. This was a graphic used around screens in town to which people could send their own pictures (using a cameraphone with bluetooth). Paper was also cut around the screens for the cloud-theme that ran through the designs.
Below: This was a design for the phonenumbers placed around town, for the "Voicemail Stories".
